Deputy Warehouse Supervisor, Radnor Hills, Knighton
About the Role
The Deputy Warehouse Supervisor supports the Shift Manager and Warehouse Supervisor in coordinating labour, managing repacking and dispatch operations, and ensuring orders for retail customers are completed accurately and on time. You will help maintain safe working practices, support GMP standards and ensure smooth communication between shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Shift Manager in allocating labour each shift.
Train agency workers and identify further training needs.
Promote safe working practices and a strong food safety culture.
Ensure order plans are followed and escalate delays.
Update training records.
Conduct shift handovers, highlighting issues and priorities.
Operate Business Central: open/close work orders, ship loads, print delivery notes and troubleshoot issues.
Scan pallets and relocate stock into warehouses.
Liaise with Goods‑In and Despatch to cover out‑of‑hours activities.
Ensure GMP standards are followed and support GMP audits.
Provide support to other shifts and departments when required.
Follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of communication.
Work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Candidate Requirements
Experience in a busy production environment.
Team leading experience.
Strong communication skills and good written/spoken English.
Ability to follow instructions and solve problems.
Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
Strong IT skills.
Health & Safety awareness.
Pay, Hours & Location
Pay: £13.76 per hour.
Shifts: 12‑hour continental shifts, 4‑on 4‑off, rotating days and nights every two blocks.
Location: Knighton, Powys.
