Porth Gwyrdd: Grant Funding Now Available for Green Employers in Powys

Local employers in Powys can now access fully funded support to create meaningful, year‑long job opportunities for young people through the Porth Gwyrdd / Green Gateway programme. The five‑year project helps marginalised young people aged 16–30 begin sustainable careers with employers who are committed to environmental or green‑focused practices.

As part of the programme, eligible employers can receive 100% of Real Living Wage costs and National Insurance contributions for up to 16 hours per week during the first six months of a placement. Employers then fund the remaining six months, along with any additional hours above 16 per week.
