We are now recruiting for a Supply Chain Assistant to support our Supply Chain Manager including the day to day running of the transport team & supporting with Supply Chain functions. In this key role you will be the first point of contact for our drivers, liaising with couriers, suppliers and our internal teams, so excellent communication skills are a must. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential, along with proficiency in office software and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key duties:
Route planning for drivers using MaxOptra (training will be provided)
Email drivers their runs and any key updates, plus check in with them on deliveries
Book in planned/routine/ad hoc maintenance and checks for our transport fleet, working with Tech Trucks
Order parts and place purchase orders (PO’s)
Get pricing for couriers and book in as and when required
Keep filing up to date and organised
Chasing up suppliers on deliveries including contract prices
Maintaining Excel sheets for current contracts
Ordering and checking packaging
Chasing up prices and information on new suppliers and specifications
Support with placing PO’s for purchasing
Manually check stock (training will be provided)
To provide cover for the Supply Chain Manager when they are on holiday
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours of work: 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday
