Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-focused Quality Engineer to support and maintain quality across our operations. This hands-on role involves internal quality checks, supplier and customer audits, documentation control, and ensuring adherence to ISO standards and other quality processes.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working within a certified environment and comfortable interacting with teams across production, purchasing, and customer service to ensure quality remains a top priority.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and maintain ISO 9001 and AS9120 certification requirements and procedures.
• Carry out and support customer and supplier audits, assisting with preparation, execution, and follow-up.
• Perform quality checks on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Investigate and report non-conformances, assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain and update quality-related documentation, procedures, and records.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure components and processes meet required standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
• Ensure compliance with CECC/BS, ISO, and customer-specific requirements.
Skills and Experience Required
• Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality engineering role within electronics, manufacturing, or a similar regulated industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9120, or equivalent quality systems.
• Comfortable working with inspection tools, standards, and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A methodical and organised approach to maintaining records and resolving issues.
• Familiarity with CECC, BS, or UK defence standards is desirable.
