Engineering Apprenticeship

Local well-established company looking to recruit an engineering apprentice. The successful applicant will work within a skilled engineering team.  

You will receive full training to be able to maintain a wide range of production equipment using both preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.  whilst also being trained in tig welding, Milling, lathe work and bench fitting.  The role will involve assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of all aspects of the site as well as being involved with ongoing projects.

Alongside the onsite training the successful applicant will be sent on day release to college, to enable them to achieve both a level 2 & 3 mechanical and a level 2 & 3 electrical qualifications.

The ideal candidate must have at least 6 gcse’s at grade c or above that include English, maths and science, they must have an interest in engineering and be hands on. Applicants that already have some engineering qualification will also be considered. Hours of work will be 8 till 4 Monday to Friday then moving on to a double day shift when trained.
