Developing Your Leadership (Workshop 3)

Who will benefit?

The third in a series of four workshops will benefit those individuals (e.g. leaders and managers at all levels) wishing to:

- gain an insight into their leadership through increasing their self-awareness;

 - identify and work on areas they wish to improve to become a more rounded leader, with the capability to adapt their leadership to suit different situations;

- ensure their leadership produces results.

Workshop Objectives

What makes a Great Leader? The ability to motivate others to ensure results? Possessing a strong ability to manage self and others (Emotional Intelligence), particularly during high pressure and stressful situations? Yes, they are both up there.

Practical exercises and discussions are used throughout the workshop. Post workshop activities are included to enable learners to step out of their comfort zone and learn through doing. The outline aims of the workshop are to identify and understand:

Workshop Aims 

  • Feedback on Activities from workshops 1 and 2

  • Motivating Others

  • What do You currently do and not do to motivate others?

  • Giving Feedback

  • Importance of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) - Self Awareness; Self Management; Awareness of Others; Relationship Management

  • EQ v IQ?

  • What is my EQ?

  • Exercises to develop EQ

  • Activities to take away

Course Delivery: This course will be delivered by Dave Jones, Up, Qualified to Masters degree level in Management, degree level in Chemistry and a qualified ILM Level 7 Executive Coach, Dave has over thirty years’ experience managing at all levels in various sectors, including engineering, automotive, medical devices, pharmaceutical and food.
