Developing Your Leadership (Workshop 2)

Who will benefit?

The second in a series of four workshops will benefit those individuals (e.g. leaders and managers at all levels) wishing to:

- gain an insight into their leadership through increasing their self-awareness;

 - identify and work on areas they wish to improve to become a more rounded leader, with the capability to adapt their leadership to suit different situations;

- ensure their leadership produces results.

Workshop Objectives

What makes a Great Leader? One key quality/skill is the ability to motivate themselves and others in order to ensure maximum performance and development. They also have a great ability to alter their leadership style depending upon the situation e.g. situational context and those involved.

Practical exercises and discussions are used throughout the workshop. Post workshop activities are included to enable learners to step out of their comfort zone and learn how to motivate yourself, individuals and teams.

 Workshop Aims

The outline aims of the workshop are to identify and understand:

  • What motivates you and your team?

  • Herzberg Theory - Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation

  • Situational Leadership

  • Situational Leadership - Self Awareness

  • Group Discussion - Examples of Situational Leadership

  • What are Your Key ‘Take Away’ Points?

  • Activities to take away
