Introduction to Coaching - Newtown

Introduction to Coaching

Thursday 11th July 2024, 9.30am - 4.30pm, Newtown

Workshop Objectives

The workshop will benefit any employees with staff management responsibility and anyone wishing to understand and apply coaching within an organisation.

Coaching is a management skill much misunderstood and overlooked in many organisations. Many managers at all levels spend so much time telling their staff how to do things they miss the opportunity to develop their staff through empowering them to make decisions and consequently end up remaining locked in day to day activities rather than working on how to take their team forward. A key reason for staff leaving is lack of development, causing managers additional stress.

Organisations with a Coaching culture have been proven to have enhanced employee satisfaction, increased staff retention and managers are able to spend more time on the future due to enabling their staff to make decisions.

Practical exercises are used throughout the workshop, including the opportunity to carry out peer to peer coaching. Real company examples can be included, where appropriate.
