Job Title: Welder / Fabricator

Department: Production/Factory

Responsible to: Production Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

To fabricate and assemble metal products, develop layouts and plans sequence of operation

To be competent reading engineering drawings

To set up and operate fabricating machines

Cutting, shaping and bending Carbon/Stainless Steel

Ensure that the company’s health and safety measures are adhered to

Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within the work area

Minimise the wastage of materials and consumables

Must be qualified and experienced in MIG welding techniques

Work under own initiative to deliver the products on time first time

To be familiar with welding symbols

To be able to weld carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel

Need to be able to pass 9606 welder approval

Skills/Qualifications

Proven background in Fabrication, preferably with a qualification or a recognised apprenticeship.

Have a knowledge and relevant experience of working in the engineering and manufacturing sector (essential).

Suitable candidate will be enthusiastic and willing to take on additional roles in the company.

Be flexible and work overtime if needed.

Ability to work under minimal supervision towards achieving strict deadlines

The role will be 37 hours per week with overtime as an option.

Mon – Thurs 06:00 - 14:30pm

Fri – 06:00 - 11:00

Personal Protective Equipment will be provided, such as Steel-toe capped boots, ear defenders, safety glasses and gloves.
