A one-day course
Intended for personnel within the supply chain with direct or delegated responsibility for ensuring that materials, equipment and services are delivered on time, in full, each and every time. The course is designed for people who are new to the expediting challenge or who have some experience but not received any formal training in the subject.
Outcomes
Attendees will clearly understand the necessity for the on-time delivery of goods and services and the serious consequences to a business of late delivery. Techniques to monitor, control and improve supplier on-time delivery are covered. The course will improve attendees’ communication skills enabling them to build up the sense of obligation on the supplier to fulfil their delivery commitments. Attendees will leave motivated and confident to positively manage delivery and other crucial aspects of supplier performance.

Course Delivery: This course will be delivered by Gareth Rowden, Purchasing Management Services, Gareth has been with PMS for 20 years and his hands-on experience and dynamic presentation style have made him a very popular and highly respected presenter.
Prior to joining PMS, he held senior management positions in both public and private sector procurement including automotive, mining and mechanical engineering businesses.
The various posts have provided Gareth with significant experience in the procurement of capital equipment, bulk material supply contracts, consumables, services and site installation projects. These activities also included the management and development of purchasing teams and departments plus the financial, physical and safety responsibilities for the operation of stores, stockyards and workshop facilities.
