Stuart Owen from Advanced Building Designs provided guest with an insight into a project he has been heavily involved with from Open Newtown. Having recently completed the signing of a 99-year lease, for a 130+ acre Community Asset Transfer, between Powys County Council and Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council this has lead to securing a grant from Big Lottery, which in turn has fuelled additional financial support for other projects around the town and the feasibility of a Business Improvement District to potentially provide additional resource and support for further improvements in the town which can make Newtown a fabulous destination for all including existing staff, and as a means to attract new staff.
