Company History: Control Techniques was created in Newtown in 1973. In 1983 the first Drive Centre abroad was opened in Asia. By 1988 there were three Drive Centres in the UK and 1 in Europe. Now, with 45 Drive Centres globally, Control Techniques is owned by Japan’s Nidec group of companies.
