History: Having served move than 30 years service within the Fire & Rescue Service and been a dedicated fire inspecting officer I have gained a wide range of experience in all aspects of fire safety including design principles, building construction, compartmentation, fire risk assessments, evacuation plans and strategies.

Overview: In England and Wales, if you’re an employer, owner, landlord or occupier of a business or other non-domestic premises, you are responsible for fire safety and are known as the ‘Responsible Person’. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 also details it a legal requirement to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment and record its findings where there are more than 5 people employed.

Services Offered: The fire risk assessment  identifies all the possible fire hazards in the work environment, the people at risk and details what prevention measures are required.

Fire Risk Assessment package is divided into the following nine categories:

  • Fire safety administration

  • Firefighting facilities

  • Identifying fire hazards

  • Fire routine and test procedure

  • Means of escape

  • Review procedures

  • Staff/people at risk

  • Arson prevention check list

  • Fire warning facilities

  • Fire Risk Assessment Report

Once the fire risk assessment is complete we will give you a document highlighting our recommendations, including digital photographic evidence. We will also provide a custom designed logbook which enables the building manager to keep a current record of all fire related information. The logbook also contains additional information on what is legally required for each section to comply with current legislation.

Training Provided: I also provide Fire Safety Training for staff including Fire Safety Awareness,Fire Warden/ Marshal and Fire Extinguisher Training and tailor this to meet the needs of the workplace and its staff.
