Manufacturing Sales Estimator, RM GROUP, NEWTOWN

Summary

An exciting opportunity for existing team members to join our business in a production-based role. We are looking for a customer focused sales estimator to join our team in Newtown. The role will involve liaison and management of proposals and projects with customers, planning and production elements of the company’s sheetmetal productions cells, with a key focus on quality, service and satisfaction levels.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

·       Sell company services to current and potential customers to achieve individual and company targets ensuring customer relationship is maintained.

·       Quoting sheetmetal parts, including laser cutting and folding.

·       Quoting CNC machined parts.

·       Quoting welding & fabrication work.

·       With an awareness of the current market values, prepare quotations using the most cost- effective method.

·       Follow up on quotations to secure the order and collect feedback for future quotations.

·       Liaise with clients to develop new leads.

·       Gain market knowledge, research, and identify new opportunities.

·       Raise Sales Orders on ERP system.

·       Liaise with Production on capacity and deadlines.

Desirable Skills

·       Understand core manufacturing processes inc. laser, press brake, machining, and welding.

·       Sales and estimating experience.

·       2D/3D CAD & nesting experience.

·       Computer skills - Microsoft packages.

·       Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship skills.

·       Numeracy & literacy skills.

·       Good market awareness.

·       Good product knowledge.

·       Attention to detail.

·       Energetic and proactive approach.

·       Ability to work under pressure and to timescales.

This role is based in our factory (SY16) fulltime. Training: Internal training on systems will be provided.

Hours: 45 Hours, Monday-Friday 07:30-04:30pm.

Salary: £27,500 - £35,000 per annum (gross) subject to experience and skillset.
