Welder/Fabricator, REECO, Newtown

Brief Summary:

Reeco is a growing company that serves multiple industries with robotic end-of-line automation solutions, both in the UK and overseas. We are currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder/fabricator for our manufacturing department.

As an engineer with proven skills and expertise in Welding, you will work as part of a team of engineers to deliver Robotic systems that meet project requirements.

TIG welding training will be provided to the right candidate who has experience in other welding disciplines.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·      Interpret and work from CAD engineering drawings to fabricate stainless steel robot bases and components in line with specifications and production schedules.

·      Perform TIG welding on stainless steel materials to tight tolerances.

·      Prepare and clean steel prior to fabrication to ensure optimal weld quality.

·      Follow established welding, fabrication, and operational procedures.

·      Conduct visual inspections of welds and assemblies, identifying and reporting any non-conformances or defects.

·      Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment while minimising material waste and energy use.

·      Collaborate effectively with team members and support other production tasks as required by business needs.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·        Recognised welding or mechanical engineering qualification (desirable).

·        Proven experience in stainless steel TIG welding within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

·        Ability to read and interpret detailed CAD drawings and technical specifications.

·        Strong understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.

·        Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

·        Self-motivated, with a positive “can-do” attitude and strong problem-solving skills.

·        Exceptional time management and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

 

Suggested Hours Of Work:

Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-5:00pm, Friday: 07:30am-2:30pm Lunchbreaks: 1:00-1:30pm

Total contracted hours 42.5 per week.
