Powys County Council Local Development Plan
Powys County Council is preparing a Local Development Plan (LDP) which is expected to be in place by late 2014. It will guide development in Powys (excluding land within the Brecon Beacons National Park) up to 2026. The Plan will identify land to address the County’s development needs including proposals for housing including affordable housing, employment, retailing, recreation and leisure, transport facilities and health and community uses, or a mix of such uses. The Plan will also identify sites for minerals and waste development. The LDP is important to everyone as it sets the framework for decision making on planning applications.
Do you own or know of sites suitable for development? The Council is inviting people to submit the details of sites that they wish to be considered for development and/or re-use. These potential development sites are known as Candidate Sites.
How do I submit a candidate site for consideration?
By completing a candidate site proposal form. These are available from:

The candidate sites process is open until 6 May 2011.
