Skills: Advice, Guidance and Funding

In September 08 the Group began providing support through the Welsh Assembly Government's 'Workforce Development Programme'. An advisor from the group will be able to assist companies to:

• Review strategy to ensure staff development and training is focused on delivering business objectives

• Identify training and development requirements

• Help in identifying the most appropriate training organisations

• Support the company towards the Investors in People award

• Identify and assist in securing the most advantageous funding support to meet the company's training and development needs.

Commenting on the new service our Group Manager, said

“The Workforce Development Programme has proved in last few years to be excellent in assisting companies develop their staff. In the past we have only been able to make our members aware of the programme, but in the future we will be able to deliver it. By providing advisors who know manufacturing and the local environment we will be able to improve further the quality of this excellent programme”.
